Six Million Visitors Expected In Los Cabos During 2018

After announcing a 17% increase in flights for this 2017, the general director of Economic Development, Tourism, Rural Development and Fisheries in Los Cabos, Víctor Manuel Carbajal Ayala, reported that it will seek to increase in 1 million seats for the municipality of Los Cabos.

During the afternoon of Tuesday 10 October, the XV Session of the Consultative Commission of the International Airport of Los Cabos was held, where the projection of the tourist destination at national and international level was emphasized.

“The Airport Advisory Committee, gave us the statistics and arrivals of the year; with a 17% increase in flights this 2017. The goal for 2018 is to increase arrivals from the west coast of the United States, Europe and Asia, as well as increase 1 million seats to reach the total 6 million that will visit the destination, “said the public servant.

Finally, Carbajal Ayala highlighted that the municipality registered a growth due to the diversity of existing activities, as not only beach tourism, but also the conventions, sport events, cultural, investment and romance tourism.

“The more information we have, the more strategy we can plan and the more timely we will be in receiving and welcoming all of them,” concluded the Director General of Economic Development, Tourism, Rural Development and Fisheries.

It should be mentioned that the meeting was attended by the director of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), Fernando Bosques Mohino and members of the Commission, while the information on the new connections was presented by the director of the Los Cabos International Airport , Francisco Villaseñor.
