La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). Between 2017 and 2018, 38 film productions were made in Baja California Sur, works that have translated into benefits for the families of the entity, pointed out the head of the Ministry of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (Setues), Luis Humberto Araiza López .
Among the productions that stand out most is the realization of the German reality show “Der Bachelor”, which took place in La Paz, Los Cabos and Todos Santos, leaving an economic income of 7.5 million pesos.
In the same way, Les Anges, of French television; Off the beach in the grid, Floribama Shore 2, Ball in the family, Real Housewives of New Jersey, the latter of the American union, having a gain of 1 million pesos.
We also had the filming of the movie Polvo, starring José María Yazpik, which was recorded in San Ignacio, with an approximate cost of 3 million pesos.
The Pantene brand advertising campaign was also carried out at Balandra Beach, with the participation of the model Michele Sallas, also known as the daughter of the Sun of Mexico, Luis Miguel; as well as, photo shoots of recognized brands of clothing, footwear and accessories such as H & H, Athleta and Sundance in locations of Todos Santos, Los Cabos and La Paz.
“We have a new location guide for Baja California Sur, so we are in close contact with the main production houses in the country, we also continue working with promotion strategies, through recognition trips with directors to continue bringing more films that pay to progress “, explained Araiza López.
Finally, the Secretary of Tourism informed that by 2019 an American series for Netflix is already scheduled, which will be recorded in the first semester on Baja Sur territory.
“The great wealth and wide natural beauty of Baja California Sur make it the perfect place for the development of cinematographic art,” he concluded.
