Baja California Sur May Have A New Air Route From China – Seeking To Boost Tourism

La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). The Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (Setues) Luis Humberto Araiza López said that the arrival of a flight from China will be sought, which could reach La Paz or Los Cabos, in order to attract tourists from Asian country
“We talked if another flight to come to La Paz or Los Cabos, and start capturing high-consumption Chinese tourists”, he said explaining the approach he made to the Secretary of Federal Tourism, Miguel Torruco.
In his interview with the “Images of Tourism” program, the official from Baja California Sur said that he will take advantage of the closeness that there will be with China, because “its market conditions are about to climax and seek to get their money and invest it in countries like Mexico, so we have solid business plans. ”
To bring more tourists from China, it would be necessary to make some adjustments such as the menus of restaurants, meals, added the Secretary of Tourism. Araiza López added that in 2018, Mexico received 170,000 Chinese tourists, throughout the United States, so meetings are already scheduled with the Tourism Trust of Los Cabos (Fiturca) to attract them to Baja California Sur.
Finally, it was noted that about 15,000 tourists from Australia arrived at the tourist destination of Los Cabos last year, who take a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles and from there transfer. It should be remembered that, last September, the head of Setues in Baja California Sur made a promotional tour to China, where there were a series of meetings with the main tourist actors in the country.
